How we get prices

Every number on this site comes from a store's public product listing. This page explains the steps between the store page and what you see here.

Which stores we check

We check 9 stores: MDComputers, PrimeABGB, Vedant Computers, EliteHubs, TheITDepot, PC Studio, Vishal Peripherals, Amazon, Flipkart.

How often

Each store is checked about every 6 hours. If a check is blocked or returns far fewer products than usual, we keep the previous prices for that store and do not mark anything out of stock on the strength of a bad check.

How the same part is matched across stores

Stores name the same product differently. We read the brand, the category and the model from each listing title and group listings that agree. Variants that differ in a way that matters, such as memory size or a Ti or Super suffix, are kept apart. Matching by software is not perfect. If you find two different parts shown as one, tell us.

What the numbers mean

Lowest price

The lowest price among stores that have the part in stock. A cheaper listing that is out of stock is shown in the table but is not counted as the lowest price.

Out of stock

A listing is marked out of stock when the store says so, or when it has been missing from the store for three checks in a row. It is removed after 14 days.

Price history

We record one price per store per day and keep up to 90 days. The chart shows the lowest price across stores for each day.

Price dropped

A part counts as dropped when its lowest in-stock price is at least 5% below its own typical price over the last 30 days. We need a week of history before we say a price dropped. We do not use a store's struck-through "was" price for this.

Cheaper at one store

A part counts when at least two stores have it in stock and the lowest price is at least 8% below the others.

Benchmark score

Scores come from public UserBenchmark data and are matched by model name. A part with no confident match shows no score.

What is not included

Delivery charges, bank or card offers, coupon codes and anything else a store applies at checkout. The price at the store's checkout is the one that counts.

Common questions

How often are prices updated?

Each store is checked about every 6 hours. Every price on the site shows when it was last checked.

Does PC Part Hunt sell parts?

No. We show prices from stores and link to them. You buy from the store.

Do affiliate links change the results?

No. Stores are ordered by stock and price only. A commission, where one exists, does not change the order or the price you pay.
